Louise - Sprinkle of Glitter | Super Women

There are alot of people who have really influenced the way I think about myself and my life this past year. Since she is the person who gave me the courage to start a blog in the first place, I want to dedicate my first 'Super women' post to Louise.

For those of you who don't know Louise (which I'm sure isn't many of you) she is a a life, family and beauty Blogger and YouTuber. She has a beautiful blog called Sprinkle of Glitter and two YouTube channels, Sprinkle of Glitter and Sprinkle of Chatter. Her gorgeous bubbly personality will win you over in seconds, She is adored by her not so little community or 'Sprinklerinos' and has remained very down to earth and grateful for every opportunity she has received. I am in no way suggesting she is perfect; I know there is a whole life that goes on behind the scenes. I am not the 'screaming fan girl' type but I do genuinely believe she is a 'good egg'.

Her take on body image and confidence has had a big influence on how I see myself. In her video on being body confident she points out that you, like 7 billion other people on this planet, have flaws and that is ok! "Hedgehogs don't walk around thinking 'I look disgusting.' They're just bumbling along like 'Hey, I'm a hedgehog. I'm alright.'" You only get one body your entire life so you might as well like it!

I am the worst at accepting compliments! I always have an argument for them but now I try to just accept them and say thank you. I now find my self keeping compliments in a little sparkly treasure box in my mind and leaving negative comments in a basket on the front door step to blow away in the wind. It sounds crazy but it makes a big difference. I love the way she deals with negativity in the comments of her blog. She is always super sweet, respectful and positive in responding them.



One of the biggest things that I've learnt from Louise is that it's ok to be sad. She sets her self some time to be sad about something and give that thing the respect it deserves and then moves on. Her appreciation of the little things is rubbing off on me and I am a happier person for it. My all time favorite Louise quote is "anger is like a hot stone. If you hold onto it you are only going to burn your own hand." I was never one to stay angry at anyone for too long but I did hold a lot of anger towards myself over the mistakes I've made in the past. I have realized I am only hurting my self more so I dropped the stone and started to working on the damage I have done to myself.

There are a million reason's I look up to Louise but this post is getting super long (Sorry!) so I'll mention just one more. In my favorite video by Louise, having hope, she says "you are just as worthy as every other person on this planet." She is living proof that with the right attitude, and the courage to seize every opportunity, you can do all the things you dream of doing. It still amazes me that someone I have never met could have had such an impact on my life. These are the things that inspired me to start my own blog. If I can make one person smile it will be worth it.
