50 things about me

1. I live in Melbourne, Australia.
2. I'm 19 years old.
3. I grew up in rural Victoria and went to a small primary school with about 30 kids.
4. Jessica is actually my middle name.
5. I love traveling. So far I have been to Japan, Cambodia and Thailand.
6. I love hugs.
7. My fist pet was a Blue Healer called Jamie. I grew up with him and absolutely adored him. He was very patient with me as a toddler who liked cuddles and dress ups.
8. I love learning things.
9. I have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. This isn't a big deal for me. It just means everything is a little harder because it get quite stressed about things other people don't think about.
10. Despite this I like to put myself out of my comfort zone just to prove to my self that I can do it.
11. I love stars. I could lie outside for hours looking up at them.
12. My favorite book series is Harry Potter. I have so many memories of my mum reading them to me when I was young. When the last book came out she read to me until 3am because we just couldn't put it down.
13. I am terrified of spiders and most bugs but I can't stand to kill them. You will often see me fishing bugs out of puddles with a stick because I hate to see them drown but I refuse to touch them.
14. I love helping people. I spend quite a lot of my time volunteering because it makes me happy.
15. I never sleep with a pillow and I get asked about it every time I sleep anywhere that is not home.
16. I am an Integration Aide and I absolutely adore my job because I love kids. I think they teach me more than I teach them.
17. I'm very quiet unless I am with very close friends.
18. Lots of people talk to me about their problems. I am usually quite good at listening but not so good at sharing my own feelings.
19. I love people. I love interacting with people and learning about them. I often have very long conversations with people I have never met.
20. I play flute, guitar and ukulele.
21. I love singing but I rarely sing in front of other people.
22. My favorite time of day is in the evening just before the sun sets when everything is still and quiet.
23. I love being outside. I love the fresh air and sunshine.
24. I have always loved animals but I could never bring myself to volunteer for shelters because I couldn't stand to see them without a home.
25. I love rain. I always get wet because I love standing in the rain and the way it makes everything smell.
26. I have a little sister who is 15 and my best friend in the world.
27. My mum is a teacher and a counselor and I think I will be following very closely in her footsteps.
28. My dad and I share the exact same sense of humor and will often laugh at things that the rest of my family do not find remotely funny.
30. I love spending time with my family and I have the best extended family anyone could ask for. They are all so loving and I am grateful for them everyday.
31. When I was little I was fascinated by the way the sky changed everyday and I decided that it was god's painting. Every day he got to start over and he painted all day.
32. I also felt very special because the moon followed me everywhere.
33. I love learning languages. Next year at Uni I am learning Spanish and Auslan (Australian sign language)
34. My favorite thing to wear is PJs. If I don't have to leave the house I will not take them off.
35. Body image and self esteem is something I struggled with for a long time and I am now very passionate about helping other people who have the same problems.
36. I love being on the water but I am terrified of open ocean. The place I feel most peaceful in sitting in my Kayak out on the lakes.
37. I also love the beach but I hate sand.
38. In 2015 I will be starting my first year of University. I am studying psychology but I am also interested in teaching so I don't know what degree I will end up with. Whatever I do I know it will involve working with kids.
39. Driving anywhere stresses me out, especially if it involves parking.
40. I hate public speaking.
41. Christmas is my favourite time of year. I always spend it with my family.
42. I hate horror movies.
43. I have always wanted to know how to do cartwheels but I have always been too scared to try.
44. I very rarely wear make up. Because of this my friends love to dress me up at any opportunity they get.
45. I have never smoked and I very rarely drink. I have just never really seen the point.
46. I was the biggest goody two shoes in school. All the teachers loved me and I have never had a detention in my life.
47. I spent 4 months in 2014 volunteering overseas with kids who lived in the slums.
48. I have always hated PE. I have no coordination what so ever.
49. The only sport I have ever been good at is badminton.
50. I love maths. It is something I have always been good at and I have always love solving logic puzzles.
