So I set out with this lovely idea of making a beautiful gingerbread house for our family Christmas and taking nice photos for my blog... That didn't happen.
As I do with everything I left it to the last minute and the dates changed so I had 12 hours to make an entire house from scratch. So this is my very rushed but fairly cute little gingerbread house.
I used a recipe and template from BBC Good Food which you can find here:
http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2768683/homemade-gingerbread-cottage
For the tree I used different sized star cutters and layered them.
MnMs, Malteasers, 100s and 1000s, and Peppermint Crisps. and my personal favourite edible glitter! I was not aware this existed and I actually did a happy dance in the supermarket when I found it. I love sparkly things.
Quick tip: Make your gingerbread thin! My roof was way too heavy for my house.
Merry Christmas! xo
Love, Jessica
